Barre classes in Stockport
Led by the lovely Ellie, our Barre Class offers a high-energy, full-body workout inspired by the elegance of ballet, the core-strengthening techniques of Pilates, and the power of traditional strength training. Using a ballet barre for support and balance, this class emphasises small, precise movements designed to isolate and target key muscle groups, building strength, flexibility, and a lean, toned physique.
During a typical Barre session, you’ll flow through a series of targeted exercises that focus on posture, core stability, and muscular endurance. We do things a little different at 4NT (as usual). As Stacey comes from a professional ballet background and Ellie has been a student of Stacey’s since she was just 8 years old and is now a professional dancer herself we incorporate true ballet technique and barre exercises in all of our barre classes. You are being taught by real life ballerinas!
Expect a combination of isometric holds, pulsing movements, and controlled dynamic exercises that engage your muscles while enhancing body awareness and alignment. The class structure is designed to be both intense and accessible, offering modifications to suit all fitness levels.
Set to energizing, upbeat music, each session brings rhythm and motivation to your workout, creating a supportive atmosphere where you’re encouraged to push your limits while maintaining proper form. With its emphasis on precise technique and mind-body connection, Barre Class is ideal for those looking to sculpt, tone, and improve balance, all in a fun and invigorating environment.
Come join us at the barre and discover a transformative workout that fuses grace, strength, and endurance!

Barre combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of yoga, Pilates, and strength training. Expect a low-impact, high-energy workout that targets specific muscle groups using small, controlled movements. It’s great for building core strength, improving posture, and toning muscles, especially in the legs and glutes! We do it slightly differently here at 4NT, with our director being from a professional ballet background and the barre teacher being a student of hers and also a professionally trained dancer we use real ballet technique and barre exercises to enhance your barre experience.
